I have ordered for a number of years from Fortuna and this is the first time that I am not totally satisfied with what I have received. The weights of each item were not as advertised and instead of the ball I received a provolone salami. Also, the cheese was warm when received because there was insufficient cold packaging in the box. I am getting a credit coupon but I am really not satisfied with the response I received from the proprietor so I am not sure I will order again.

Wonderful cheese, sharp and tasteful, great choice

This is a great way to understand the difference between different provolones. I grew up on the 'extra sharp' usually found in aged balls hung from the ceiling. In recent years, I haven't been able to find it, and the provolone in stores is usually the very mild 'giovanni' that is in this package. The medium sharp is also nice and authentic tasting. It all goes very well with a slice of hot soppressetta. Thank you.
