SWEET ICED TARALLI, Puglia Sapori

A delicious Italian specialty – soft and flavorful taralli are covered in a crackly sugar icing for the perfect sweet treat. Wonderful served alongside tea or coffee.

Taralli are classically formed by hand into rings or ovals about 1.5-3". Taralli from Puglia are briefly boiled before being baked, which gives them a very interesting texture. Baked taralli can be kept in an airtight container for several months.
