Harvest Time for our Local Vermont Honey
Here at Fortuna's we have over 20 honey bee hives. As always, we pride ourselves on pure all natural foods, including our honey! Our honey bees have free range over our 158 acres and feast themselves on our wild flowers, berries bushes, garden vegetables and make just the purest natural honey. A spoonful a day keeps the doctor away!
Did you know?
The Egyptians cherished honey so much, jars of the liquid gold were buried with deceased royalty to give them a sweet transition into the afterlife. Among wine, jewelry and weapons, honey was also valuable enough to be stashed in King Tut's golden tomb—still edible after 3,000 long years.
